Fire up the grill for this teriyaki chicken. Plan ahead when it comes to this chicken because you want it to marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours. Can you marinate for less time? Yes. But your chicken won’t be as flavorful.

Tips for the Best Teriyaki Chicken

  • Don’t overcrowd the marinade bag with chicken. No more than four breasts for the marinade measurements.
  • Don’t put chicken directly out of the fridge on the grill because cooking times will be affected. Let it sit on the counter that final hour of marinating.
  • Cook over a medium flame with the lid closed. This will help you get the desired blackened tips of chicken without charring the whole breast.

Perfect Teriyaki Grilled Chicken

This is a perfect sweet and savory marinade utilizing ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. Marinating the chicken overnight (8 hours) ensures the meat has soaked in all that delicious marinade. Grilling the meat is the best preparation.
