If you’re looking to elevate a dish with flavor and texture these breadcrumbs could be the perfect addition. What I love about this recipe is you can add that crunch to dishes that don’t ever have it. For instance, we topped my fettuccine alfredo with these and none of us will ever be the same. Who knew you could make that dish any better? But alas, these garlicy crunchy breadcrumbs were the perfect addition. They pair great with my green beans and over fish. You have to see for yourself.

 

Tips for the Best Breadcrumbs

 

  • Use panko breadcrumbs instead of traditional breadcrumbs. They get much crispier.
  • Grab the premade “fresh Italian herb” mix in the produce department. It’s where all the other small packages of herbs are in a refrigerator. If you can’t find it just grab parsley, thyme and rosemary and chop up finely. Mix together and measure out a tablespoon.

Crunchy Garlic & Herb Breadcrumbs

These buttery, crunchy, garlicy breadcrumbs are flavorful and can elevate any dish. I've added them to chicken alfredo, fish and vegetables. They add perfect texture and flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz Panko
  • 3 tb Olive Oil
  • 2 tb Kerrygold Salted Butter
  • 3 Cloves Garlic smashed
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Chopped Italian Herbs

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter over medium heat. Add 3 smashed garlic cloves. Once they're golden, add the panko breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and fresh herbs. Cook and constantly stir until the panko is golden brown. This process takes about 10 minutes.
