Cornbread Donuts with a Salted Honey Butter Glaze are a fun take on two classic American favorites. Perfect balance of sweet salty and texture. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 box Golden Butter Cake Mix (Duncan Hines)
- 4 tbsp Softened Salted Butter
- 2/3 c 2% Milk
- 5 eggs
- 2 Small Boxes Jiffy Cornbread Mix
Glaze
- 4 tbsp Salted Butter
- 4 tbsp Honey
- 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
Instructions
- Add softened butter and cake mix to a stand mixer. Mix. Add milk, water, eggs and jiffy mix. Mix until well incorporated.
- Add 1/4 C to each greased donut mold.
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
- While the donuts bake, melt butter, honey and salt together in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbly.
- Let donuts rest for 5-10 minutes out of the oven. Remove from the molds. Dip in the glaze and serve.
