Apple Crisp with Maple Whipped Cream

An insanely delicious apple crisp made with two kinds of apples and topped with a sweet and crumbly oat topping and maple flavored sweetened whipped cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 granny smith apples large
  • 4 fuji apples large
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp flour heaping
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 c water

Topping

  • 1 c quick cooking oats
  • 1 c brown sugar packed
  • 1 c flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 8 tbsp salted butter (1 stick) melted

Maple Whipped Cream

  • 3/4 c cold heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp maple flavor

Instructions
 

  • Peel apples and thinly slice. Add to a large mixing bowl.
  • To the apples add sugar, flour, cinnamon, and water. Mix and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl mix your topping of brown sugar, quick cooking oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda and melted salted butter. Mix until crumbly.
  • Grease a 9x13 dish and add in all the apples. Top with all of the crumble topping.
  • Bake at 350 for 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes
  • While the apple crisp bakes make your whipped cream. To a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, whisk cold heavy whipping cream
  • Let apple crisp rest one hour.
